For the release of the GEL-SONOMA™ 15-50 sneaker, ASICS partnered with Flock Together – a global birdwatching collective for people of colour. What started as a London chapter the community has grown since it started and enables every person of colour the freedom to explore and engage with the natural world, on their own terms. Hosting monthly birdwatching walks the Flock Together community is a forum to share experiences, provide creative mentorship, find and offer mental health support, and develop a stronger connection to the natural world.
In eager anticipation of our return to the outdoors, we went through our extensive archive to combine the trail-tested performance tooling of the GEL-SONOMA™ 15-50 trail shoe and the upper of the 15-50 cross country spike. The result is a new silhouette that’s been re-tuned for the city. The GEL-SONOMA™ 15-50 shoe is an excellent hybrid that prepares us to reconnect with nature while staying true to its heritage.
