Let's look at football where it spends most of its life: away from the stadium.
As another season approaches, atmos SEA is looking beyond the pitch with a regional jersey initiative spanning four countries: Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Thailand. While each design speaks a different visual language, they share a common premise. The jersey is as much a cultural artifact as it is a sporting one.
Created in collaboration with Naufal Abshar, the Indonesian jersey reflects that reality through the artist’s signature donkey motif. Across his work, the donkey has come to represent resilience, honesty, and a refusal to hide imperfections. Within atmos’ performance-rooted design language, it meets Naufal’s playful visual world in a space that feels less concerned with perfection than with personality.
When asked what first came to mind while approaching the project, Naufal didn’t point to tactics, trophies, or even the game itself.
“I think a sense of community. Football has always felt bigger than the game itself. It's about the people, and it's about identity in a way. People really fall into the game, but it's not just about the game itself—it becomes part of who they are.”
The atmos SEA jerseys are now available at atmos.
