An Ode to Reincarnation — How ASICS and HIDDEN.NY Continually Rebirth the Archive

A familiar runner emerges in white mesh and flashes of green, becoming a lovechild formed through two lineages: ASICS’ archival running DNA and HIDDEN.NY’s contemporary design lens, each imprint carried through without either fully overtaking the other.

This crossbreed pulls from the Kinetic archive. The GEL-QUANTUM Kinetic, GEL-Kinetic Fluent, and GEL-Kinetic SP surface throughout, each feeding into a composition that feels familiar without settling into nostalgia.

Underfoot, the technical language becomes more pronounced. FF Blast Plus foam runs through the midsole, while Scutoid GEL pods protrude from beneath like exposed machinery. An internal TPU Trusstic cage remains largely unseen, quietly reinforcing the shoe's structure from within. 

Then comes the colour. White dominates the upper, interrupted by HIDDEN.NY's signature green. The pairing has become something of a calling card for the platform, appearing across previous collaborations and custom projects. Here, it performs the same function it always has: connecting disparate references through a single visual language.

Mirroring ASICS’ continual return to its own archive, the GEL-Kinetic 2.0 becomes a reassertion of design memory. Built from the remnants of its ancestors, it carries forward a lineage that is endlessly reincarnated in new form.
