NIKE AIR JORDAN 1 RETRO HIGH OG

Nike Air Jordan 1 High OG “Black Toe” Reimagined

Not all AJ1s are created equal. While most bear the Wings logo, the "Black Toe" tells a different story—one that predates the icon itself. First released in 1985, this iteration of the Air Jordan 1 masterfully reinterpreted the Chicago scheme. Its legacy continued through the years, returning in 2007 as part of the “Old Love/New Love” pack and again in 2012 as a KO edition in canvas.

In MJ’s first-ever photo shoot, the collar read “Air Jordan,” not the Wings logo. His signature touch is also hidden here—his handwritten “My very best” inscribed on the collar, visible only under UV light. A quiet nod to those who know. The shoebox adds to the narrative, featuring Peter Moore’s early sketches—offering a glimpse into the design process of a legend.

Through each iteration, the "Black Toe" remains a story worth telling.
